From the narrowest of streets, the door to the house opens onto a tranquil courtyard where a mosaic fountain trickels into the plunge pool. One bedroom is approached from the courtyard, as well as a bathroom with seperate shower.
The main living area is on the first floor where a place for dining and sitting opens through traditional arches onto a balcony that overlooks the pool below. Two bedrooms lead from the balcony and share an en-suite shower room.
Also off the balcony is the beautiful salon, cool in summer and with an open fire for winter evenings.
A further flight of stairs reveals the large roof terrace with a dining area ideal for breakfast. A berber tent with hand painted ceiling provides relief from the midday sun and there is plenty of room for private sunbathing.
The style throughout combines simplicity with traditional Moroccan craftsmanship and local products. The result is a house with real character reflecting the exotic city itself while providing every practical comfort.
